
Heartsaver CPR/AED
The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver CPR/AED Course is designed to prepare students to provide CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course is for individuals who Do Not work in the Healthcare or EMS industries.
Upon successful completion of the course, including a CPR and AED skills test, students receive a Heartsaver CPR/AED course completion card, valid for two years.
Available Learning Formats
This course is offered in the following formats:
Onsite: In a classroom at one of our locations.
Online: This is a two-part process, first you complete the online course material at your own convenience and pace. Then you complete the hands-on skills portion of the course at one of our classroom locations. This is the most flexible option for individuals with busy or non-conventional schedules.
Offsite: In a classroom at your location. This is typically good for Organizations who would like to certify or recertify multiple members at one time, while minimizing the time away from the Organization’s location. A minimum of 6 students is required for this format.
The Heartsaver CPR/AED Class:
Is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches Adult and Child CPR & AED use, Infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

Online & Blended Courses function as a two-part process. To receive your course completion card, you must successfully complete:
Part 1: Successful completion of ONLINE Course (online portion and exam) You can sign up and purchase the online course here:
.Part 2: Skills Session (30 – 60 minutes): Successful completion of an in person, hands on skill session with an American Heart Association Certified Instructor.
