BLS CPR for Healthcare Providers
BLS CPR AED
The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
The BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.
Candidates who successfully complete the course will receive a BLS CPR certification, valid for two years.
Available Learning Formats
This course is offered in the following formats:
Instructor Led: In a classroom at one of our locations.
Online/Blended: This is a two-part process, first you complete the online course material at your own convenience and pace. Then you complete the hands-on skills portion of the course with one of our AHA Certified Instructors. This is the most flexible option for individuals with busy or non-conventional schedules.
The Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Course Class covers:
- The AHA BLS Certification Course Provides Practical Training to offer High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
- The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
- Important early use of an AED
- Effective ventilations using a barrier device
- Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
- Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Available Learning Formats For AHA Basic life support certification course
This AHA basic life support (BLS) certification course is offered in the following online/offsite formats:

Online/Blended: This is a two-part process, first you complete the AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) course online course material at your own convenience and pace. Offsite: In a classroom at your location. This is typically good for Organizations who would like to certify or re-certify multiple members at one time, while minimizing the time away from the Organization’s location. A minimum of 6 students is required for this format.
